Takara Belmont Beauty and Barber Equipment Warranty Policy

GENERAL

Takara Company, Canada, Ltd., guarantees its equipment to be made of first-class material, free from defects in material or workmanship to the original purchaser under normal use and to perform the service for which they are intended in a thoroughly reliable and efficient manner when properly installed and serviced by a licensed professional. Misuse, abuse, tampering, accident ͕or mishandling or installation and service by someone other than a licensed professional voids all warranties. During the warranty period͕ Takara Company will, at its option, repair or replace any part or parts which prove to be defective. No claims will be allowed for labour or other incidental costs. Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and all claims must be made through the distributor from whom the equipment was purchased. The equipment warranty covers the equipment only and Takara shall not be liable for damage to any person or to any property under this warranty.

HYDRAULIC PUMPS 

  • 10 years free repair or replacement of a defective Hydraulic Pump with freight covered during the first year of the warranty.

MOTORIZED HYDRAULIC BASES

  • 10 years free repair or replacement of a defective Motor with freight to and from covered during the first year of the warranty.

  • No warranty on consumable parts such as base rings and glides. 

MANUAL RECLINE MECHANISMS

  • 5 years free replacement parts only for mechanisms on all-purpose Hydraulics. 

UPHOLSTERED PARTS

  • 1 year on stitching of our upholstery when our standard material is used. Please Note: Upholstery manufacturers will not guarantee against colour fade, stain, or change in the appearance of materials and Takara cannot guarantee even our standard vinyl against these problems. We recommend the use of clear plastic covers. Takara has no control over availability or colour matching qualities of upholstery material, plastics etc., as manufacturers of these products frequently discontinue or add colours and we are governed by the inventories that are available. There is no warranty for upholstery damaged by chemicals. 

METAL PARTS - OTHER THAN ABOVE

  • 1 year against defects in materials and workmanship on metal parts such as armrest supports and footrests, except for consumables such as rubber footrest pads and/or base rings. There is no warranty for parts damaged by chemicals. 

PROCESSORS & STEAMERS

  • 1 year for defective parts that fail under normal use. Motor 5 years repair or exchange, freight covered during the first year of warranty only. 

GEMINI-II DRYER & IONIC DRYER 

  • 5 years for motor and 3 years for the hood. 

BACKWASH UNITS

  • 1 year for replacement parts with the exception of consumables such as spray hoses, strainer cups and drain parts. 

TAKARA BELMONT CULTURED MARBLE, FIBERGLASS AND ABS ACRYLIC SHAMPOO BASINS 

  • 3 years from the date of purchase. 

  • Fixtures have a 1 year (limited) warranty from the date of purchase. All other parts warranted for 90 days from date of purchase.

  • Not guaranteed against damage from diamonds or jewelry. 

MAJOLICA PORTO

  • 1 year from the date of purchase.  Fixtures have a 1 year (limited) warranty from the date of purchase. All other parts warranted for 90 days from the date of purchase.

  • Not guaranteed against damage from diamonds or jewelry. 

YUME ESPOIRE

  • 10 years on the MOTOR OF motorized base of Yume. 1 year on the other replacement parts with exception of consumables such as spray hoses, strainer cups, and drain parts. 1 year on the stitching of upholstery. 

  • 1 year for fixtures. 1 year metal parts of Yume base. No warranty on consumable items such as neck cushion, hoses, strainers, or drain parts.  

MILLWORK 

  • 1 year warranty on custom millwork. Warranty void if installed by others. No claims will be allowed for labour or other incidental costs.  No warranty against scratches, plastics and glass once installed.  

REPLACEMENT PARTS WARRANY 

  • 90 Days from the purchase date 

LABOUR

  • Takara Company, Canada, Ltd., will not be held responsible for ANY labor or installation charges or refitting unless pre-authorized.
