This course provides a clear entry point into both the technical and business sides of head spa.

The Best of Both Worlds

This program intentionally combines two globally respected approaches to head spa:

• Japanese Head Spa (YUME method) - widely credited as the world’s most refined and standardized head spa method, known for its high level of technique, precision, and structured routines.

• European Head Spa - recognized for its strong focus on scalp care education, client communication, retail strategies, and business integration, supporting long-term client retention and repeat visits.

Together, these approaches give students confidence from hands-on technique through to business strategy, so they are prepared not just to perform services - but to implement head spa successfully in their own space.

Day 1 — Head Spa Origins & Foundations

Begin with a foundational understanding of head spa as a professional service:

• Origins and evolution of head spa practices

• Understanding equipment setup and workspace flow

• Work efficiency and technician positioning

• Core fundamentals of rinsing and shampooing within head spa services

This day helps students understand how head spa works before moving into advanced methods.

Days 2 & 3 European Head Spa Approach (with Cathey)

This portion focuses on scalp care, client communication, and service structure, with an emphasis on building a sustainable business model.

You will learn:

• Scalp care fundamentals and hair health concepts

• Client consultation and scalp observation

• Treatment application techniques 
  

• Scalp mapping and treatment planning

• Client scripting and communication strategies

• Retail integration and service positioning

• Understanding how head spa fits into a professional business environment

This section supports client trust, consistency, and retention, helping you build a strong clientele over time.

 Days 4 & 5 Japanese Head Spa Method (with Jessica)

The final portion of the training focuses on the Japanese YUME head spa approach, known globally for its structured technique and flow.

You will be guided through:

• Principles behind the YUME head spa method

• Step-by-step shampoo and cleansing techniques

• Rinsing precision and sequence flow

• Technique-based routines that emphasize intention, rhythm, and consistency

• Understanding how environment and setup support the experience

• Technician ergonomics and efficiency

This section builds technical confidence, helping students understand why Japanese head spa is considered a global benchmark for quality and technique.

Implementation, Ambiance & Readiness

Throughout the program, students will also learn how to:

• Set up ambiance and environment to support a professional head spa experience

• Understand how space, lighting, sound, and workflow affect service quality

• Translate training into real-world application within their own studio, salon, or spa

The goal is for each participant to leave ready to implement, not just inspired.
