Are you prepared to begin retraining for a new job in the hairstyling and barbering industry? Learn more about the Second Career program and how you can receive financial assistance when you study to become a hair stylist or barber at Eikonic Academy.

The Ontario government is helping laid-off workers get back to work through the Second Career funding program so that they can find jobs in high-demand occupations as well as provide financial support for basic living expenses while you are in school.

Second Career works as a cost-sharing grant provided on the basis of need for people who want to learn a new profession. You may be asked to contribute what you can to your training or education.

Individuals who have been laid off as a result of COVID-19 and are interested in training in other professions with excellent career prospects may be eligible for further financial assistance for their studies and related expenditures.

Since January 2022, we have helped many of our students get funding by guiding them through the application process.
